Warm Garlic Herb Parmesan Bread
Ingredients
- 1 tsp instant dry yeast
- 1 tsp sugar
- 1 cup warm water
- 1 tsp salt
- 2 tsp dried rosemary
- 1 tsp dried basil
- 1 tsp dried oregano
- 1 tbsp granulated garlic
- 2 ½ cups all-purpose flour
- ⅓ cup grated parmesan cheese
- 2 tbsp olive oil
- 2 tbsp butter
- 1 tbsp thick granulated salt
Instructions
- Mix yeast, sugar, water, and spices in a bowl and let sit for 5 minutes
- Add the flour and cheese and knead all together into a big round loaf
- Throw the loaf into a large oiled bowl, cover the bowl with plastic wrap, and let rise for an hour
- Cut the loaf in half and form into two smaller round loafs. Place on the baking sheet and let rise half an hour.
- Heat your cooking hearth or oven to 375 °F (190 °C) and oil a baking sheet
- Spread butter on top of both loaves and put in the hearth or oven for 20 minutes
- Check the bread to have a golden brown crust forming, remove from the hearth or oven when it's sufficiently browned to your preference for crust hardness
- Sprinkle some thick salt on top of the bread for a slight salty crunch. Top slices with some butter and rosemary for a wonderful treat for all adventurers!
