Stardew Valley Inspired Pepper Poppers in the Oven

Pepper Poppers inspired by Stardew Valley

This pepper poppers recipe was sent to the Inn by Shane, a resident of Stardew Valley who stopped by while heading to a market in search of Blue Chicken Eggs. They're ooey-gooey and a great appetizer to share with fellow adventurers.

  • ¼ tsp garlic powder
  • ¼ tsp chili powder
  • 8 large jalapenos

  • In the mixing bowl, combine all the ingredients besides the jalapenos and avocado.
    Mixing Pepper Poppers Ingredients
  • Taking care not to touch your eyes until the poppers are in the oven, and using gloves in case you have any cuts on your hands, slice the peppers in half length-wise and remove all the seeds and inner flesh so you have a nice bowl for the filling.
Cutting the Seeds out of the Peppers
  • Put the pepper halves on a greased baking pan and scoop the mix evenly onto each jalapeno half. Sprinkle a small amount of extra cheese and bread crumbs on top and put the peppers in the oven.
  • Wash your hands thoroughly and let bake for about 15-20 minutes. The tops should be browned slightly and the insides are gooey when poked with a fork.
  • Slice the avocado into 16 strips. Lay a slice on each popper.
  • Serve with a dip of your choice. Perfect for the end of a long day working on the farm!
