Servings 8 adventurers

Ingredients

  • 8 pieces thick cut bacon
  • ¾ cup onion chopped
  • 8 oz crescent rolls I used Pillsbury brand, it comes with 8 servings
  • 4 tbsp fig preserves
  • 1 tbsp salted butter

Instructions

  • Preheat oven to 400F (200C)
  • Place bacon on a baking sheet, and bake until it is fully cooked but still soft, about 10-15 minutes.
  • While the bacon is in the oven, melt the butter in a medium pan over medium heat. Add the onion, and stir until transluscent, about 5 minutes. Reduce heat to low and add the fig preserves. Cook until the preserves are melted, about 1-2 minutes.
  • Lower oven heat to 375F (190C) once the bacon is done.
  • Separate the crescents by the perforations, and lay them on a flat surface. Split each piece of bacon in half, and lay both halves long ways on the crescent. The bacon should cover the majority of the crescent. Starting with the wider side, roll up the crescent and place it on a greased baking sheet, ensuring it doesn't unravel.
  • Top each crescent with 1-2 tablespoons of the fig and onion mixture.
  • Bake for 12 minutes, or until golden brown
  • Plate and serve with a side of the extra fig glaze. Enjoy, adventurer!
