- 8 oz brie
- 1 sheet puff pastry I used Pepperidge Farm puff pastry sheets
- ¼ cup pecans roughly chopped
- 2-3 tbsp fig preserves
- 2 tbsp butter salted
- 3 tbsp honey
- 1 egg
- french baguette or crackers for serving
Instructions
- Set out the puff pastry to thaw, following the instructions on the box
- Preheat oven to 400F (205C)
- Score the top of the brie.
- Melt 2 tbsp of butter then spread it on top of the brie.
- Spread the fig preserves on top of the brie as well.
- Place the puff pastry over the brie, then wrap the corners down and under the wheel of brie. Press slightly on the folds to seal.
- Place the brie puff pastry seam-side down on a baking sheet lined with parchment paper.
- Whisk the egg in a small bowl and then brush the top and sides of the pastry with the egg wash.
- Place the pastry in the oven and bake for 15 minutes, or until golden brown. Remove from the oven and let cool.
- Mix the chopped pecans with the honey. Top the baked pastry with the mixture.
- Serve while still warm and gooey. You can enjoy it on slices of french baguette, or even crackers. Enjoy!
