Set out the puff pastry to thaw, following the instructions on the box
Preheat oven to 400F (205C)
Score the top of the brie.
Melt 2 tbsp of butter then spread it on top of the brie.
Spread the fig preserves on top of the brie as well.
Place the puff pastry over the brie, then wrap the corners down and under the wheel of brie. Press slightly on the folds to seal.
Place the brie puff pastry seam-side down on a baking sheet lined with parchment paper.
Whisk the egg in a small bowl and then brush the top and sides of the pastry with the egg wash.
Place the pastry in the oven and bake for 15 minutes, or until golden brown. Remove from the oven and let cool.
Mix the chopped pecans with the honey. Top the baked pastry with the mixture.
Serve while still warm and gooey. You can enjoy it on slices of french baguette, or even crackers. Enjoy!
