Ingredients

  • 8 oz brie
  • 1 sheet puff pastry I used Pepperidge Farm puff pastry sheets
  • ¼ cup pecans roughly chopped
  • 2-3 tbsp fig preserves
  • 2 tbsp butter salted
  • 3 tbsp honey
  • 1 egg
  • french baguette or crackers for serving

Instructions

  • Set out the puff pastry to thaw, following the instructions on the box
  • Preheat oven to 400F (205C)
  • Score the top of the brie.
  • Melt 2 tbsp of butter then spread it on top of the brie.
  • Spread the fig preserves on top of the brie as well.
  • Place the puff pastry over the brie, then wrap the corners down and under the wheel of brie. Press slightly on the folds to seal.
  • Place the brie puff pastry seam-side down on a baking sheet lined with parchment paper.
  • Whisk the egg in a small bowl and then brush the top and sides of the pastry with the egg wash.
  • Place the pastry in the oven and bake for 15 minutes, or until golden brown. Remove from the oven and let cool.
  • Mix the chopped pecans with the honey. Top the baked pastry with the mixture.
  • Serve while still warm and gooey. You can enjoy it on slices of french baguette, or even crackers. Enjoy!
